Notes: Ground seeds mixed with corn meal and salt, made into a stiff batter, formed into balls and steamed. The Zuni say that upon reaching this world, the seeds were prepared without the meal because there was no corn. Now the young plants are boiled, either alone or with meat, and are greatly relished.
