Notes: Leaves used in defense of the use of yellow angelica by an opponent in the hand game. The loser went to his lodge and asked for a small piece of meat, which he combined with man sage leaves. Carrying this charm in his pocket, he returned to the gambling place, where he walked abruptly among the participants and took the dice in his hands. Then he pretended to sing and perform with the dice--all the while secretly rubbing them with the meat and sage mixture. After he handed back the dice, the man who had been using the yellow angelica would get a headache and grow lazy, losing all he had won.
