Notes: Decoction of branches with many other branches used to wash babies to make them strong. A decoction of the branches, squaw currant and red osier dogwood branches and the boughs of Douglas fir or tamarack was used to bathe babies four to six times over a period of several weeks to make them strong, independent and good natured.
